Privacy Policy

Effective 27 July 2026

This policy explains how the Yahtzee mobile app and website handle information.

Information we process

How information is used

We use information to create and secure accounts, provide shared web/mobile login, operate leaderboards, save profile choices, troubleshoot problems, prevent abuse and comply with legal obligations.

What is public

Your username and submitted leaderboard scores are public. Your email address, first name and surname are not displayed on the leaderboard. Do not choose a username containing information you want to keep private.

Service providers

The service uses Amazon Web Services, including Cognito, AppSync, Lambda, DynamoDB and CloudFront. AWS processes data on our behalf to host and secure the service. We do not sell personal information or use third-party advertising trackers.

Retention and deletion

Account and profile information is retained while your account exists. When you use Delete Account, the service removes your Cognito account, profile, private name fields, username reservation and scores associated with your account. Locally stored game information can be removed by clearing website data or deleting the app.

Security

Authentication is handled by AWS Cognito. Score submissions and profile changes require an authenticated session. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Children

The service is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. Contact us if you believe a child has provided information.

Your choices and rights

You can review and change profile information in Account, change your password, sign out, or delete the account. Depending on where you live, you may have additional access, correction or deletion rights.
